I’m a Colorado-born product designer on a journey to build inspiring experiences.
When I got my first computer at age 12, I designed and implemented my very own HTML website on AsianAve.com (embarassing). From there, my passion was fueled to understand the power and discipline of design and to pursue it for the rest of my life — just kidding, I was only 12. But I did make pretty sweet web designs back then.
It wasn’t until I was in college, getting my BFA in Digital Design from the University of Colorado at Denver where I became fully immersed in design as a problem solving discipline. I started my career in print and web design, then slowly moved into 3D and motion graphics. I decided I loved it all, so I joined an agency where I was able to be a production designer and art director. I was able to lead out creative concepts for print, digital, social and interactive/web campaigns and handling pixel-perfect delivery. Of all the mediums, I really enjoyed exploring user experience and storytelling. Being able to dip my toes in different facets of design has helped shape me into the multidisciplinary product designer I am today.
Then one day I decided to take a leap of faith out of my comfort zone and moved to the bay area, the heart of tech. Lately, I’ve been working as a Lead Product Designer at Rivian on the Enterprise and Fleet Team.
Fun facts:
- Basketball, football, dragonboat racing, and rock climbing are my jam
- I enjoy volunteering and coordinating fundraisers
- I like to pretend I’m hosting my own cooking show in my kitchen
- I’m an amateur couponer
- I was crowned 2nd Runner-up Miss Asian American Colorado, Miss Impact 2012 (it's not a beauty pageant, as much as it sounds like one)
